Hello all,
I dont know if this is in the correct section to post this in but here we go.
I have a rather bizzare problem. Ever since solidworks has been installed on my machine i cannot use it unless my laptop (Lenovo 520 Windows 7 enterprise) is connected to its docking station. When i try to open SolidWorks when it is undocked it hangs on the splash screen indefinitly.
We have tried reinstilling solidworks multiple times and have consulted with our IT department, they have no idea.
And ideas ??
Thanks
Does the docking station have it's own (or externally attached) graphics card? If yes, what type?
What graphics card does the Lenovo have installed?
If it's the Intel HD Graphics 3000 you may be out of luck. You could try different drivers & hope for the best.
If it's a Quadro 1000M or 2000M you may need to disable the nVidia Optimus functionality. See https://forum.solidworks.com/message/373236#373236 for more details.
