Re: List of companies using solidworks
Jeff Holliday Nov 19, 2013 8:48 AM (in response to Steven Bell)First - welcome to the forum!
I think there is a lot of merit in what you are looking at doing but I think there are going to be a lot of potential problems, especially the "freely editable" statement. This type of a list is something that could impact someone in a positive or negative way if not controlled tightly. I would hope that the info in the list would be verified as valid/correct.
I doubt that you will be allowed to place it on this forum, but I may be wrong about that.

Re: List of companies using solidworks
Steven Bell Nov 20, 2013 7:53 AM (in response to Alin Vargatu)No not really trying to create any kind of service (or sell anything) - just contacting fellow skilled individuals to ask what there thoughts are - if theres interest in it i'll stick it online with a disclaimer with all info. may / maynot be accurate ... I mean wouldn't it be interesting to find out that a company is just round the corner (not saying they are hiring but worth knowing thy are there).
How many times have you been contacted by car salesman like recruiters whose job posting simply states 3D modelling skills - then dont know if its Solidworks or Inventor or Pro-E etc. or seem to care either.
Thanks,
Steven

Tony Cantrell Nov 20, 2013 8:39 AM (in response to Steven Bell)If you make it a shared workbook, then it can edited by other people. Maybe you should have the controlled copy and have people send their info to you to be incorporated. I know several companies in the Southeast

Hi Everyone,
I have deleted the latest post because it linked to a database that contains information that certain companies may not want public.
