I'm not familiar with the macbook that you are talking about, but I will give it a stab, since no one else has.
If the faces or edges you are connecting have much different curvatures, then a continuous curvature fillet might do the trick.
If you are doing an Extrusion or a Revolve, you could use a Spline instead of a Fillet to connect the edges. You can do the same with a Loft or Boundary Surface or Solid.
If you are going to be doing a lot of work where the appearance of a fillet really matters, you should probably be following the SolidWorks/Surfacing forum
