Does anyone know how to make SolidWorks remove the spaces from the scaled view size? Right now SolidWorks has SCALE 1 : 2 (spaces before and after the colon). I want SCALE 1:2.
Thanks

The cursor steps through the scale text character by character. I can delete the spaces and get what I want, but I would rather they just come in without spaces. That's great that yours are coming in spaceless by default. I haven't changed anything and my default is with spaces. I wonder what gives? I wondered if it had anything to do with the ANSI standard so I unchecked Per Standard but that didn't change anything.
And if you change the scale of the drawing, does the scale value change correctly?
If you right click the text and choose 'Edit text in window', what is shown?
You should get the following or something similar: $PRPSHEET:"SW-Scale"
If I change the scale of the drawing (the entire drawing in sheet properties) the scaled view remains as is, which is what it should do. If I change the scale of the view, then the scale value changes correctly, but I loose the format, i.e. the spaces I removed previously and the text has spaces in it again. If I right click on the text and edit in window I see the actual text, not the scale property text. However, it's not dumb text because the value will change if I change the scale of the view in the view property manager.
Where is this text? Is it a sheet scale note in the title block that fills in automatically, is it a view call-out that's linked to the view, or is it a note that's typed manually?
That's actually a good one to post in the discussion: If you were in charge of SolidWorks, what would you change with Annotations?
If you put your cursor on the text and use your arrow buttons, does the cursor step through the scale text character by character, or does it jump over the whole 2:1 string in one go?
As far as I'm aware, all linked properties are treated as one character as far as the cursor is concerned. If it take more than a single button press to move through the text, I would start by checking that the linking of the property is set up correctly.
For your information, all of my scale texts are spaceless (2:1), and I'm reasonably sure that we've done nothing to change their behavior from default.
