Can anyone help me change the date in the Title Block when you create a drawing the format is currently is US MM/DD/YY I need to place it into Europeann DD/MM/YY. Can anyone please assit me with this.
The way I have my template set up is using a Custom Properties tab for the drawing where I enter rev info, title, date, drawn by, etc. I'm actually not sure where SW auto-enters the date as mine are all user add-in from the start.
You can edit your template and do a $PRP:"DrawnDate" in the date box of the Title Block, then either make a Custom Prop tab or edit it in the drawing property window.
Manual entry into custom entries can be good because my users leave their PC OS set for mm-dd-yyy and I use yyyy-mm-dd which is great for managing data files, is logical, and matches the newer US & EU standard. The PC used to open a document will change a date linked to system OS format.
I too am trying to resolve the date format to use in our office. Some people will not break from their familiar US. Some are willing to follow what has been the tech document format of dd-mm-yyy. Europeans are using both formats with month in middle. The Y14.5.100 &ISO 8601 recomends big endian yyyy-mm-dd.
Another possibility is the following post I found:
