Compiling Draftsight SHP files into SHX files

I need direction compiling Draftsight SHP complex line definition files into SHX files. I can then use them to assign custom line types in drawings. I have no problems with custom hatches and simple line types (ASCII-based text definitions) -- it's the complex line types that challenge me.

I have found the LTypeShp.shp / LTypeShp.shx tuple (in D:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\DraftSight\Fonts) and want to create a similar custom file set.

I can create the .shp text file but need help on parameter formatting. Then, how do I compile it? Any idea how I do this?

Thanks much.
