Does anybody know when SolidWorks 2012 SP 3.0 will be coming out? Our compnay is waiting for 3.0 since 2.0 had some toolbox issues that needed to be addressed. Thanks
SP3EV was released on March 19th. The production release usually follows approx 2 or 3 weeks later. So could be this week or next.
Just found this on the Downloads page;
SP3 EV (Early Visibility) showed up a few weeks ago so it shouldn't be too long. I don't think anyone outside of SolidWorks knows when they'll come out. You could look at the SP3 EV to make sure it will work for your while you wait.
Good afternoon Steve & Kelvin,
Do you know what the enhancements are for 3.0??
Check the SPR fixed list for SP 3 (EV).
OMG! Will wonders never cease?
They've actually posted the fixes BEFORE the SP has been released.
Congratulations on finally getting it right.
Yes and it was done with the EV 3.0 release.
Please see this thread posted earlier that may have been missed.
As per the Service Pack release schedule, it say
Quite a list that they compiled, the to do list must be huge
SW12 SP3 is now available
EDIT; But I am receiving an error message when using the Install Manager
Anyone else seeing the same?
Good morning Kelvin,
Thanks for the update,
I got the same message and all I did was click the back arrow and then next and it cleared it for me, almost done downloading,
All downloaded, installed and back to work.
All good and well but.... it's been more then a week now and we still get that error.
We still aren't able to download and install it without all kinds of errors popping up.
My collegue was able to get it installed after lots of fiddling and un-installing SW 2012 completely.
It has been 'available' now since the 9th. Still getting errors about not being able to connect to the SW server to determine which products we're entitled to.
Has your reseller been able to help you out with the issue with the SolidWorks download site?
The reseller did what it could but in the end there isn't much they can do either if SW server can't seem to verify our serial codes.
I got it installed, only took me 45 minutes. Not counting the download time for the Software nor the actual install time or.
So 45 minutes of starting and restarting the installation manager, waiting for it to do it's thing which it mostly didn't or couldn't , clicking next and clicking back arrow. It was pretty much the same deal with my collegues and there's still a couple that have to do it.
It truly doesn't make for a smooth transition from SP2 to SP3.
