You are invited to attend the next meeting for the Western Ontario SolidWorks User Group. The mandate of these User Groups is to provide an independent forum for SolidWorks users to discuss the software and exchange information freely.There will be a number of presentations, as well as a light dinner provided, all free of charge! 6:30pm - 7:30pm - “E³.WireWorks: Electrical and Fluid Engineering for SolidWorks Users"
Eric Van Essen - Javelin Technologies Inc.
E³.WireWorks is a Windows-based, modular, scalable and easy-to-learn system for engineering
design of wiring, harnesses, cable assemblies, control panels, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Together with SolidWorks Premium Routing tools and E³.WireWorks design engineer can work
from design concept through physical realization and manufacturing output.
6:30pm - 7:30pm - Creating a Progressive Strip Layout of a stamped Bracket

Michael will use Logopress3 to demonstrate how he designs his progressive dies
- Analyse, clean and prepare an imported model for a progressive die strip layout.
- Make the process step by step.
- Create strip layout for 1up and 2up die and part nesting options in LP3.
- Insert gut punches and forming punches.
- Create and cleanup 2D drawing for design review/customer.
Also please bring any sheet metal parts that you may want Michael to demonstrate with!
