Can you share the macro?
I have a short cut key setup to the file>properties dialog but nothing beyond that.
I set that up in the keyboard section of the custom dialog when you RC on the toolbar.
I am using the PT pane to fill in the named custom properties. And I have a keyboard shortcut for opening the custom property dialog.
But the Comments section on the Summary tab holds a collection of odds and ends data. We have a boilerplate legal statement in there. We toss in a brief summary statement of what the last revision was about. Nothing that really fits in a dedicated custom property. A macro would for this would be rather involved because of the variability of the text in the comments area.
So my process right now is to have the text string I am placing in this area copied to the clipboard. I hit the shortcut key to open the Custom Property dialog. I toggle to the summary tab with ctrl-Tab if needed. I tab to the comments area and hit end to place the cursor at the last character. Then hit enter for a new line and ctrl-V to paste my text. Now I have to drag my mouse over and click the OK button. The keyboard sequence is quick and repeatable (yes, I hear you thinking prime candidate for a macro). But having trained myself to use the shortcut bar and hot keys as much as possible, the mouse over to the OK button seams inefficient. And so the post here on the forum.
Thanks for your inputs. I'll take a look as Depak's macro suggestions.
