I have a question from a client about saving SW files to Revit. Is that possible, what file type to save to, and if so will it still be parametric, etc? I appreciate any info.
ACIS or SAT
It will not be parametric
I just got another e-mail from the client saying if I save the drawings to AutoCAD they will create their own model in Revit. And next time I'll try to remember to do a search before starting a new thread.
I believe you are redesigning your model in Revit to have all the hierarchy and parameters maintained. It will consume higher design time and effort. BIMDeX product helps to export your SolidWorks model to Revit with all parameter maintained. If you still have this requirement from your customer, write a mail to email@example.com
Thank you. Maybe in another 6 years I'll need this again, who knows?
