I have searched but did find an answer to my question. Sorry if I
I have experience with other analysis tools performing modal
analysis but have limited experience using the SolidWorks/COSMOS
When performing a frequency analysis, it appears that the
constraints or "connections" are very limited. When one performs an
analysis of a structure that contains multiple components and
fasteners, how does one account for that?
For example, when two parts have a common surface they do not
appear to be allowed to join in the frequency analysis. Further I
cannot use the bolted connection feature to secure the components.
Are there work arounds? Or are there features, options, or other
methodologies specific to COSMOS Frequency analysis that I am
while doing the frequency analysis, we can define bonded or free
contact between the parts. we can't apply bot connectors in the
frequency analysis. we need to take some assumptions i.e. where
ever the bots are there, we can replce by bonded contact
