I have an assignment made in SW 2011 and I need to deliver it in SW 2010.
What's the best way to convert SW 2011 files to SW 2010?
You can upload your files to 3DContentCentral.com (assuming they're not too big, and are free of errors). Then, once processed, you can re-download them as 2010 files (or any other file type.
3DCC would be a VERY popular place if it converted to older versions with features. Unfortunately it doesn't.
Welcome to the forum.
I would iges out your part and dxf out your drawing in 2011
then import them into 2010.
The only way is to export a dumb solid (in order of preference > Parasolid, STEP or IGES) and then use FeatureWorks (a feature recognition add-in) to rebuild to an editable part.
A dumb solid can be edited using the SW surface manipulation tools, but is not as simple as the regular features.
Thanks for the help everyone!
