When I am trying to create a plane on the end of the spline, I can't select either the spline nor end of it?
Also, when SW starts, the windows top bar not showing. Was fine before SP2
No , i dont have issues.
I can create plane at the end of spline , and my windows top bar is not missing.
Missing top bar:
Can't select either the spline nor end point
Yeah, I get the "missing top bar" too. It looks like he command lookup window repositions there where when you start Solidworks. Resizing the window or hitting 'Alt' to invoke the pulldown menus clears it.
This annoying little glitch is present in SP3.0
Not sure why the toolbars are missing but you can use f10 to quickly hide and show it. Also it looks like you're trying to select the spline through an object, have you tried the selection filters on the bottom toolbar?
I have this toolbar switched on all the time, as it is pretty common to press filter when selecting.
I found the fault in the selection: when model is transparent, selection is not working correctly. I removed transparency and it works. This is a way around, but every time when I want to quickly amend something, I have to change the appearance.
The top bar appears back when I drag the window down a bit. SW bug.
You can select transparent objects by holding 'Shift' on selection
I am not trying to select a solid model. I have to be able to select a spline and the end of the spline to create a plane. When model is transparent, even in Wireframe display style, I can't select the spline.
Missing Toolbar is 2020 SP3 "feature".
Solidworks 2020 SP3.0 is available
Installed SP3 and no luck. Toolbar not there when SW starts.
Read the post.
SP3 is the problem.
Is this option selected? I don't have a lot of confidence in that fixing the issue, but it's worth checking.
If that doesn't work, try this one. It should be off.
I have all the above done. The spline is not 'inside' the model and as long as I can select it not through the model, it is fine. Only when I have to select it through the model, the problem occurs. The only way around is to change the transparency. Works, but that shows problem with SW.
