We have had Solidworks pdm pro for a couple of years, & it works quite well. Our engineering department is around 12 etc. One thing that’s frustrating though is how our ecr program, part nos., & bill of materials are 3 more completely unique programs that don’t talk to each other at all. Everything has to be done with human intervention.
Our new VP of eng. is interested in Solidworks Manage. My question is, would SW manage help us as a smaller co. develop a better communication between these facilities, or is there a suggestion of something that would be better. It sounded like something like Nova plm, was too expensive, & not the right solution for a co. our size. Decided to post in general.
