New to the forums and trying to navigate the functionality. Not much for "quests" but if this button no longer exists, I guess that it will be difficult to complete my first quest. Perhaps the two activities below should be changed to "like" instead of "helpful".

No need to attempt to work on boosting your "points" with meaningless activity. Plenty of incompetent morons on here have scads of points.
Search the help/web first, then make your questions clear and concise, and post a file if at all applicable. If you can do these things, you'll get respect/help even if you have zero of the stupid "points".

I am an accomplished product design engineer in the firearms arena. I have learned by both formal training and work experience on the platform since 97. I now find myself needing to pull in some extra income (divorce), and am trying to figure out the best way to develop the credential. I can't always (and sometimes don't want to) show my work due to the confidential nature. I may need to create some portfolio content not related to my industry to profile my ability. Appreciate the initiation!

There is not much point to create credential here.
A Linkdin account should work better.
If you're good at SW, do a few exams and get the cert.

The Quests are absolutely worthless trivial fun in these forums. No one in the real world recognizes them in any way.
What I think you are looking for is the Certificate program that Solidworks offers.
CSWA Exam Prep Course | MySolidWorks Training
The CSWA is really a baseline knowledge exam. The CSWP and CSWE delve into individual competencies much more in-depth. You should be able to complete the CSWA without too much trouble.

Hold up.....Josh has gone beyond the level of expert. A Solidworks expert can model anything. Josh can also program a bunch of stuff behind the scenes...... Josh can rip the software apart and put it back together. I would consider him an expert car mechanic/racer while a lot of the rest of us are fairly good drivers.......not the same cetegory.

LOL... Unfortunately my highest proficiency category is probably the "Take No Crap" one. Working on getting worse at that one. :-D
One of the Definitions of "Expert" is "having or involving authoritative knowledge" and I think that fits Josh Brady perfectly...

Good point as well... Lots of experts have done that. I certainly didn't intend to imply an inverse points/skill correlation either. The two are entirely unrelated.

I'd argue that you are working on getting better at it...No need to be pessimistic...
Don't think too much about these things, they're outdated features on the forums that are riddled with bugs.
You'll notice that points, awards and quests sometimes freeze.
