Spring Meeting:  Is coming up on Wednesday, June 15th, 6 – 8pm, at Yakima Maker Space

Holly Cheek will present to us: Master Model Techniques - Explore what a Master Model Technique is, the benefits, and when to use it!  We will start from the beginning and work our way up to a Master Model Assembly.  We will then review when to use this technique, and how to control updated files and then demonstrate some files where this technique has been used.  We will also discuss the best practices that should be put into place in order for the design to have the best outcome.  A video demonstration of this technique can be found at the following link:

Heather Hasz will then demonstrate how to use DriveWorksXpress, a design automation tool available in every seat of SolidWorks.  She will show us how to set up and use a simple form to automate repetitive design tasks for the creation of new parts, assemblies and drawings along with configurations.  You’ll see how fast and easy it is.  She may also give us short peak into the DriveWorks “Solo” and “Pro” versions of the software.
