First some background... I was a casual (not professional) user of AutoCad for about 15 years. Since I started out on a drafting board in the years before CAD, I stayed with 2D drawings in AutoCad, which satisfied my needs. I recently lost the AutoCad license and bought SolidWorks for Makers.
