Hi, I’m  a engineering student and am doing a project on a record player. I want to make a small model on Solidworks, which include a simple 3d equation driven curves of 2 sinuses on a cylinder(check images) I would like now to cut out the material separating the signal from the surface of the cylinder.

However I am unable to make such a cut.

If you are so willing please help me.
