I have a list of vendors in PDM with aliases.

I have a vb.net program I wrote that pulls the Vendor Name (Displayed Value) from a BOM and I'd like it to be able to look up the Alias value. Is this possible without accessing SQL? Or is there a better way to accomplish this? Adding the Alias to the BOM is not an option for several reasons.
