I am using SW 2022 SP5

I am uploading an assembly drawing into PDM that has virtual parts in it.  I saved the virtual parts within the assembly (hoses) since they won't be used anywhere else.  How do I get PDM to recognize these?  Do I have to save them externally?  They don't have part numbers other than part 1, part 2, etc.
