The 'Bounding Box' feature places an envelope around a part (or assembly). It's very useful for estimating material size for machining.

However, how does one use this feature to create a parametric solid object? I want a configuration showing minimum stock for our machinist.

In a drawing I can convert the edges of the box to 2D geometry.
