Often when I create/delete a folder in windows explorer, even outside of the PDM, the explorer freezes up while PDM opens the "Get Latest Version" dialogue box. It is not limited to acessing windows explorer through Solidworks, it happened again today whilst closing Adobe Lightroom. 

Work flow often involves google drive (via windows explorer), maybe that could be related.
