Data Migration From Legacy SOLIDWORKS User Forum to New SOLIDWORKS User Forum on 3DSwym

Hello, everyone.

This quick update is to let you know that as of Tuesday, June 29th, the legacy SOLIDWORKS Forum data activity has completed, been indexed and is now available within this new SOLIDWORKS Forum.  We imported all the data sets (shards) we identified for import, including an additional three based upon user requests and feedback.  Over 1,000,000+ records were migrated that included ~150,000 posts/questions. From that, there was a mix of 423 posts and questions that experienced issues where we could not migrate those entries' associated media, comments & replies.

There will be a number of user-driven enhancements applied to 3DSwym in mid-July as we continue to listen to user feedback and bring about continuous improvement.  

Updates that are coming:

• Hitting ‘Enter’ will add a new line (instead of posting the comment)
• Simplified access to Bookmarks from a user's profile
• Remove the last message that appears below community names for a cleaner view.
• Hide communities that you unsubscribe from in order to show a condensed list
• Comments will always appear at the bottom of the post
• First iteration of a CompactView ​​​​​​​option.
