I received a macro (credit to Keith Maxwell) that saves the cut list to parts (sldprt), which is exactly what I need. However, unlike the “Propagate visual properties” option with “Insert into new part,” this macro doesn’t preserve the color. As a workaround, I plan to store the colors in an array and reapply them after creating the assembly.
