I was provided a 600 MB STEP file from a customer that took about 4 hours to import and save as a part. This part now contains thousands of bodies and surfaces and takes at least 10 minutes to do basically anything. 

This single file contains an infeed conveyor, assembly table and outfeed conveyor. I need to create an assembly that houses this part as well as parts we're planning on adding to this system
