I think this is an un-official entry as it doesn't quite meet all the requirements :-) 
Let me introduce the Ukrainian Grandmaster Set - which just happens to be my new Chess set. 
I have reverse-engineered the set, modeling it in SOLIDWORKS (so there is no design element), with the renders all being created in SOLIDWORKS Visualize 
The Ukrainian Grandmaster Set is a soviet style Staunton set, circa 1980.
