When you convert a normal component from real to virtual, the name gets 'Copy Of' added to the start. Is there some way or setting to prevent that, and if not is there a way to quickly remove that from multiple components?

I tried to use the pack-and-go method, but apparently you can't rename virtual parts as you use pack and go. :(

Before you ask, I'm working for someone who wants one complete file, not an assembly with external assembly and part files. So I'm doing some converting from real to virtual and back, and making sub-assemblies. Removing the 'copy of' each time is an annoyance.
