Is it possible to cell-wise manipulate drawing BOM table values via API.

For example:

If Description as linked to customproperty is "80 NB T-SUPP RAL 6018", is it possible to change it to "80 NB T-SUPP xxxxxxxx" depending on whether sub-string " RAL " was found? 

Please guide us to the proper documentation that you may be aware of.
