I've installed a font called ITC Machine. It works fine in all programs except SolidWorks. I have verified that it is not the "hidden" option causing the issue. If I create some text in SW and try to change the font to ITC Machine, it doesn't appear in the list. But if I just single click the text and try to change the font in the left margin Text format box...     ITC Machine does show up there.
