If anyone has a macro to achieve this it would be extremely appreciated.

Select component > run macro > all body transparencies are toggled on/off

When you toggle component transparency in an assembly, it overrides all face or body appearances with the default blueish grey colour. To maintain my part appearances I have to open the components feature tree, open the surface and solid bodies folders,
