Another post i did a few days back about removing old mates (couldn't add on to that post) 

They suggested to right click on the mates and "Group Mates" well, the ones under "Suppressed (Missing)" aren't necessarily dead mates that are not being used in any configs. I did a test and deleted a part without selecting "Delete child features". I did a "purge unused features", didn't list anything. I hoping
