Hi team! I'm working on a sheet metal multi-body model, using "convert to sheet metal" feature and convert my cut list to solid sheet metal individual parts. As I get to the last part, I clear the "keep body" check box so I'm left with sheet metal assembly model. Using rip feature I indicated where my parts are split. After my model is created, my folded edge and corners at the base of the fold are rounded along the remainder of the edge. Normally, when you have a relief cut, the fold is sharp and clean, but I can't seem to achieve the typical bend you'd get when using a edge flange for example... I spoke to our SW support, they told me I may have to ditch my current method and design these parts individually... I'm bit gob smacked as I'm pretty sure SW is a powerful enough software to handle this type of design methodology? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
