This has bugged me for years and I am hoping that someone has an answer for it. Solidworks has the really irritation habit of selecting a dimension that is hidden or an annotation that is hidden over the visible solid that I am trying to select. I always joke in my head that Solidworks is saying:

"Here user, I selected the hidden dimension that you did not want to select over the visible solid you were
