I would like the best way to export a large assembly as step (AP214 preferred).

Currently,

without the option 'export all components as step', it seems the software crashes.

 with the option, I can see things happening and my folder being populated but it seems the software is doing a lot of unnecessary steps.

I have an assembly made of Step files and itself is a step file. I add one new component,
