I'm trying to write a parameterized gear. It seems like the entire global variable and equation system is hosed up. No matter what I enter into the Equations manager window I get "syntax error" - even when Solid Works generates the equation itself from the dimension. 

I can't fix it, I can't change variables, I can't modify the file - it keeps reloading the bad variables from somewhere. The equations
