I've been trying to look for an easy method to share with clients an assembly as step file, but without showing all parts on the inside, instead it will show it as a full solid, if that make sense. I have saved the assembly as a part and removed the insides but the structure inside is still visible, and I don't want that. Aside from creating a lot of extrudes features to fill the inside,
