My son will be going to the School of Mines for Mechanical Engineering starting this fall and he will need a personal laptop.

I am looking at a couple of HPs, the HP Pavilion with a GeForce MX550 or a HP Firefly with a NVIDIA RTX A500 Graphics Card. I want to make a good decision for this computer to work with SW when he may be away from the labs on campus. He will be living with us while in school
