Good morning folks,

Please see the highlighted component in the attached screenshot of my assembly's feature manager design tree. Notice there is no arrow to expand it for access to cardinal planes or features. This is a first level component directly inside the assembly. It was dragged out of a subassembly and dropped in the top level.

***EDIT*** Alex LACHANCE had the right solution: Hide and Unhide. I will add details in the comments.

I have found that closing SolidWorks and restarting the application will fix it. Does anyone have any idea what causes this?

I tried a rebuild, set it to resolved, set the entire assembly to resolved and nothing changed. I then opened the part and the switched back to the assembly and nothing changed. I finally saved and closed everything before shutting down SolidWorks and restarting. When I got the assembly back open, the component was still missing the drop-down arrow, but it also was hidden. When I un-hid it, the drop down arrow appeared and all of the component features were present. I have not noticed any other components in this assembly exhibiting this behavior.

As I mentioned, I have resolved my current problem, but I would like to know if there's something I can do to prevent it from happening or to fix it more quickly. And if not, I would at least like to document my solution.

Thanks,

Matt
