Non-Parametric software's like AutoCAD & Draftsight has its own capability, & I think parametric modelling was a revolutionary concept, but it almost failed in case of AutoCAD. Most of the users of AutoCAD for 2D Drafting don't use parametric techniques (dimensional or geometric constraints). But as we know Inventor & SolidWorks are almost completely parametric. So, here we lost one of the biggest advantage of AutoCAD i.e. its flexibility. its very easy to change your drawing with stretch command in AutoCAD.

So, I think Solid Edge does a wonderful job here, it provides synchronous modelling which enables us to use the power of both parametric and non parametric software.

SolidWorks also have something like this which is instant 2D or instant 3D, But it still requires a lot of improvements. (3d experience platform's apps already have this advantage).

I want to request Solidworks, If its not possible to add synchronous modelling completely at least provide an option to enter the value of dimension while using instant 3d or instant 2D to change size of part.
