Hi All,

Thanks for making this forum possible. I'm in the process of acquiring a new laptop. I'm a recent engineering professional and make extensive use of Solidworks. I do fairly simple modeling on SolidWorks with Assemblies never exceeding 15Mb.

I'm getting 16Gb of RAM and either a 256 or 512Gb SSD. My question is around the graphics card. I have looked at the reccomended/certified devices and they are mostly pointing towards Nvidia Quadro. I'm finding these far more expensive than a Nvidia Geforce 3050Ti. Can someone advise me if getting the laptop under this link (https://www.evetech.co.za/lenovo-legion-5-15ach6-rtx-3050-ti-gaming-laptop-with-16gb-ram/laptops-for-sale/23746.aspx) is alright? Focusing on the GPU issue.

Thanks and warm regards from South Africa.,

Nik
