Is there a way that the config name can be exported with a sheet metal flat pattern dxf?

The reason is, I have lots of different configurations of sheet metal parts and they need to be easily identified. We etch the name of the config on the CNC machine. I am manually doing this at the moment by adding text in autocad after it has been exported. Is there a way to export sketches on the flat pattern
