Hi, Solidworks newbie here - question about moving with the triad.

I can grab an imported part in my assembly and move / rotate with the triad.  But on each click the rotation is relative - i.e., move it so many degrees in one direction or another.  It's not absolute.  After a number of skootches around back and forth, I want to know how much I've moved relative to an axis or the original part.
