Basically designing some walkways. Made the framework in one model, handrail staunchens in another and brought them together in an assembly. 

Once I had them together in an assembly I drew 3d sketch lines and made them coincidence to points in the staunchen sketches to provide the correct positioning for hand rail and knee rail. It won't allow me to convert the 3d sketch in an assembly to a weldmet.
