How to group parts of an object and then be able to rotate it(I would like to rotate the head of a spot lamp) (assembly mode)

I got a 3D model about a spot lamp. I would like to group the parts of the model which belong to the head of the lamp. Then I would like to rotate the head with 90 degrees perpendicularly to the track of the spot.
