Not a strong expert in doing things with custom properties in the first place so I'm struggling a little bit trying to figure something out.

Essentially what I'm trying to do is setup a part template that would be for all our machined parts made out of extruded material (c-channel/tube/etc). What I'd like to do is have the part setup as a weldment structural member that the designer just changes
