Two question

1. I have a BOM table that combines the part numbers. So essential I have 3 subassembly within my main assembly. Is there a way that I can "uncombine" the qty so that it shows each assembly individual rather than combine them?
2. I would then like to manually edit the text in the table, how do I do this without effect the original assembly data
