A question regarding using the Show Hidden option in assemblies.

While I am in a Show Hidden mode - how can I eliminate unwanted parts (parts I am sure I don't want to unhide, or in other words - I want them to stay hidden) that might prevent me from choosing the actual part I want to unhide?
