Hello, I have recently joined a new company and in learning about the company policies and workflows, I noticed right away that Solidworks is sluggish at best. I had not experienced it this badly before, so I am trying to figure out the root cause. I don't think our computers are optimized for SW, so that is probably the main culprit, but I happened to notice that we have a good 30 equations that load with each part and assembly. Most of those equations are not even used unless called, so I suspect that some the bloated time might be involved with the overcomplexity of the process.
My question is: Do equations add to load time and increase load and reload times?
Our drawings literally take 2-5 minutes to load and rebuild. Its infuriatingly frustrating. I am assuming that this is just an accumulation of bloat time between parts and assembly files.
