I'm trying to sketch a new part on an existing part. And to be able to align the new part with the existing part. 

So far nothing seems to have worked out. I know this is probably one of those questions that's very basic but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. If someone could simply tell me if I'm in the right direction with derived sketches or inserting sketch pictures that would be fine and
