In the project I've used som Electrical Assembly components to ease up things. 
Now these show up in the Bill of Materials with their quantity, while also having all the separate components showing up with their quantities. Even though the Electrical Assembly components don't have an article number and such, i believe the extra quantities might be abit confusing for future viewers
